William Garbin
Senior Technician

Mr. Garban has been maintaining the translators for the Town of Pahrump and other transmit sites for the last several years. His many experiences in electronics began in his early years in high school.  After graduating from USAF technical school he became a crew chief for the Titan II liquid fuel rocket systems. Following the termination of the Vietnam War he move back into private life and received a technical degree from Clark County Community College.

During most of the 1980s Mr. Garban was the Technical Advisor for HBO, Nevada Pay Television and Western Pay Television covering the Las Vegas and Phoenix areas.  During this era he maintained STL links and serviced UHF transmitters.

After spend the next 5 years as an independent satellite and RF communications service technician, Mr. Garban directed the technical activities of Ferguson Cable in Las Vegas.

This is when he met George Richardson who was Ferguson’s qualified supervisor for their Nevada Contractors license. For the next twelve years Mr. Garban designed and built Race and Sports books throughout the Southwest. He was trouble shooting routing and matrix system, and still maintaining Television and Radio stations in the area.

In 2003 Mr. Garban took over Ferguson Cable and again became independently working. With his on-going client base.  He is now GWRC’s Senior Technician and has assisted in all of their current projects.  Mr. Garban is the lead satellite technician for Cox Communications MTC SE satellite farm and also implements the installations for the major industry trade shows with GWRC.  Hopefully, in the very near future Mr. Garban will also become a senior partner in GWRC-LLC.
